We actively pursue a policy of continually implementing technological upgrades based on industry advancements. The CompuPawn software program is engineered to operate on several operating systems. Presently, CompuPawn operates under the Microsoft Windows operating systems as well as under Unix based operating systems such as SCO Openserver, Caldera and RedHat Linux, and the full line of the IBM RS/6000 AIX operating systems.

|
The latter are primarily provided to accommodate large multi-store pawnshop operators that desire multi-user systems that can link many users and workstations across multiple stores in a number of geographic locations.
Our objectives are to continue enhancing and improving all VCS products especially those that operate under Microsoft's Windows operating systems as a Windows GUI application. This is necessary because of the large installed base of existing computers and the increasing demand for GUI based applications. For entry-level and mid-range software applications, it is essential to market versions which can run on both new and existing Microsoft Windows based computer systems in order to:
|
- Utilize many new features that are built into Windows 9X, ME, NT and 2000 technology such as:
- Dial-Up Networking,
- Automatic Internet updates,
- Picture capture and display,
- Open database structures,
- E-mail
- Full interfacing to Microsoft Office and Back Office functions
- Simplify installation and operation by adhering to standard Windows mouse controls and keyboard operation, and
- Make it easier to market software Internationally and provide foreign language support, and
- Offer our current and prospective customers an attractive software solution, both from a financial and functionality standpoint that follows the trend of clients purchasing lower priced software products that operate on Microsoft Windows based PC networks.
