MARK EVANS
Vice-President of Sales and Marketing

Mr. Evans joined VCS in 2002 to lead the company's sales and marketing efforts. Mr. Evans' responsibilities include all new hardware and software sales, advertising, marketing, and the hiring and training of new employees. His sales focus is to propose a "Total Business Solution" that incorporates "State-of-the-Art" hardware and software at affordable prices to pawnshop owners and for the continued growth and expansion of their stores. He regularly attends pawn industry trade shows where he exhibits the full line of CompuPawn software products and gives seminars on various topics. Mr. Evans is widely respected in the pawnshop industry and is very active in the promotion of both our core business and the industry in general. He was recently nominated and elected to the Board of Directors of both the National Pawnbrokers Association and the Florida Pawnbrokers Association, a distinctive honor for a vendor to the industry.


Mr. Evans has spent his entire lifetime in Florida. While pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Florida in Orlando, Mr. Evans became interested in electronics and for the next 14 years advanced through the ranks of two companies, ending up at a South Florida based public company named Sound Advice. After achieving many accolades for increasing overall sales and unprecedented growth, Mr. Evans decided to leave the employ of Sound Advice and establish his own privately held company known as Absolute Electronics. Absolute Electronics sustained double-digit growth for 4 years focusing their strengths on large-scale homes and mega-yachts. Absolute Electronics specialized in very high-end audio, video, security, and computerized control products installed in the private residences and yachts of their owners.

For the next 3 years, Mr. Evans established his own recruiting and consulting company. Working with many large Florida employers such as Royal Caribbean Cruises, American Express, Sensormatic, and Delmonte Fresh Produce, Mr. Evans was able to better understand the infrastructure and organization needs of companies and their requirements. Because of Mr. Evans' extensive technical and management knowledge, he was the top choice to direct the sales and marketing responsibilities of CSI.
