CompuPawn offers a complete physical inventory solution using the Worthington Tricoder Portable Bar Code Reader. You can use the Tricoder to scan and count the items desired for the processing of physical inventory. As you scan the items, a built-in inventory parameter file is created and stored in the Tricoder's memory. This file can then be uploaded to the CompuPawn system for the purposes of creating wrap-up files in order to process the physical inventory count.

Barcode / Product Validation
CompuPawn also allows for the optional downloading of a product "Validation" file to assist in the counting of physical inventory. This "Download Inventory to Portable program" creates a file of the inventory items identified by CompuPawn based upon selection criteria entered prior to scanning. This file is downloaded to the Tricoder and stored in the Tricoder's memory. As you scan each item, the Tricoder attempts to match the item scanned with an item located in the table validation file stored in its memory. As item's are scanned, the corresponding item stored in the table validation file is "flagged."

CompuPawn "Wrap-Up" commands make inventory taking easier!
CompuPawn allows for a "Wrap-up" Option Line Command that will allow you to identify logical breaks as you process a physical inventory. For example, if you are processing a physical inventory for your entire store it is easier to count smaller segments of the inventory and then combine them into the final count. You may wish to count all televisions and then Wrap-up that count before moving on to stereos, etc.
