The NCIC (National Crime Information Code) code file and interface to CompuPawn allows you to meet the Police requirements for NCIC classification of your store’s merchandise. Optionally, specific Police Department merchandise classification codes may be encoded to your electronic police reporting files using this Module.
This Module comes pre-configured with NCIC Codes typically used by most Police Departments for standard pawnshop merchandise. This eliminates the need to assign a NCIC code each time you process a transaction.

Optionally, this Module allows you to assign NCIC Codes, or Police Codes, to your store’s specific category code tables. If the NCIC codes are properly and completely assigned to your store’s category file, the actual assignment of the NCIC codes for the purpose of transferring this information to the Police is completely transparent to the user. This saves you time at the front counter by eliminating this coding process from the buys and pawns functions.
